The Royal Empress Tree is a truly spectacular species. It starts out as a tiny little seed the size of a small flee, and within a matter of just a short few years stretches toward the sky showing off her beautiful purple blooms in the spring.
This awesome grower was introduced to America from China. It is said that when a couple gets married, the family plants these trees for the children. When the children get married, the trees are cut down and used to make furniture for the newlyweds.
The unbelievable thing about them though is the fact that they can be cut down and harvested s early as eight years. Then from the stump a new tree will emerge. And it can do so more than eight times.
